Light Show On The Building

Videomepping (video-mapping, marketing mepping, 3D-Mapping) is also widely used in Russia as the name of " videoapping " , the art of creating and installing three-dimensional sections on physical objects, the building, the car, the couch, taking into account their geometry and spatial location.

" 3D " in " 3D-videomepping " means that the geometry of the surface on which the video is produced is used rather than the technology that has already become common in the games, television programmes and 3D films. In this context, special computer technologies allow the creation of a 3D-model of the site to which the projection is planned and then altered in accordance with the show scenario, which gives an optical illustration of the change of the facility itself.

In the past few years, the popularity of such projects as light shows on the building, as well as the use of 3D video-telephones, has been increasing: large-scale voluminous videos and light installations are very mature, and modern versions and three-dimensional simulations have produced very realistic, fantastic special effects. That is why the video distribution is so widely used for public events, urban holidays, advertising campaigns and brand presentations.

Many of the 3D-Mapping activities that have been created have gone beyond the usual design description, the projection-based simulation has begun a new direction in audio-visual art.
